Overview

What is this treatment?

Monosculpt Ultra Med works with monopolar radiofrequency. We place the applicator pads on the area you would like to focus on, and the device warms the tissue under continuous temperature control.

It has twelve applicator pads, so a larger surface or even several areas of the body can be treated in one session. Exactly where the pads go, we discuss with you at every session.

You lie down during the treatment and feel an even, pleasant warmth. There are no needles and no aftercare to follow.

The technology

How does it work?

  1. Radiofrequency heat

    The pads deliver radiofrequency energy into the tissue, to a depth of about one and a half centimetres.

  2. Controlled temperature

    The device continuously measures and regulates the heat. Deeper tissues are warmer, while the skin surface stays a few degrees cooler — which is why it feels pleasant.

  3. A gradual process

    The effect of the treatment is not immediate: the body processes it over the following weeks. This is why there are three weeks between treatments.

Your visit

What to expect

  1. Consultation

    We discuss which area we will focus on and where the pads will be placed.

  2. Placement

    You lie down and we secure the pads on the chosen area. Your skin needs to be clean and free of cream.

  3. Treatment

    You feel an even, pleasant warmth. Tell us if it ever becomes too much — the intensity can be adjusted during the session.

  4. Afterwards

    You can carry on with your day straight away. The treated area may feel warmer for a few hours; this is natural.

Recommended course

One treatment every three weeks — typically 3–5 sessions

The longer interval is a feature of the technology: the body needs time between treatments. This is why the 5-session pass is valid for 180 days, compared with 90 days for the others.

Before you come

Good to know

  • The skin of the treated area should be clean and free of cream when you arrive.
  • Drink plenty of water on the day of the treatment and over the following days.
  • You will feel warmth during the treatment, but not pain. If you do, tell us straight away.
  • We remove metal jewellery and piercings from the treated area.

Safety

When is it not recommended?

  • During pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • With an implanted electronic device (pacemaker) or a metal implant in the treated area.
  • In case of cancer.
  • In case of cardiovascular disease, thrombosis or a tendency to thrombosis.
  • While taking blood thinners (anticoagulants).
  • In case of epilepsy.
  • In case of liver or kidney disease, or a weakened immune system.
  • In case of a skin condition, skin disease or fresh wound on the treated area.
  • After recent surgery, or with a fever.
