Overview

What is this treatment?

SculptMED PRO Ultra uses two technologies at once: a high-intensity electromagnetic field (HIEMT) and radiofrequency. It has four applicators, so up to two areas of the body can be treated in a single session.

During the treatment you feel rhythmic muscle contractions in the treated area. This is not a side effect but simply how it works: the electromagnetic field makes the muscle move. It is done lying down, in a comfortable position.

We set the intensity gradually, and you can speak up at any point if you would like to change it.

The technology

How does it work?

  1. Electromagnetic field

    The applicators create a high-intensity electromagnetic field. This field reaches the muscle, rather than putting strain on the skin surface.

  2. Muscle contraction

    The muscle contracts and relaxes rhythmically, at a rapid pace. You feel this too — it is how the device works, not a side effect.

  3. Radiofrequency addition

    Alongside HIEMT there is a radiofrequency function, which complements the treatment by warming the treated area.

Your visit

What to expect

  1. Consultation

    We talk through your goals and choose which two areas of the body to treat.

  2. Placement

    You lie down and we secure the applicators on the chosen areas. The treated skin should be bare, or covered by a thin cotton garment.

  3. Treatment

    We raise the intensity gradually, always guided by your feedback. It lasts about 30 minutes.

  4. Afterwards

    There is no rest period. The next day you may feel something similar to sore muscles — this is normal, just as after a workout.

Recommended course

2–3 sessions a week, over consecutive weeks — at least 4, ideally 6 treatments

This is why the passes start at 6 sessions: a full course consists of this many. The 10-session pass is for working through two areas of the body or a longer series.

Before you come

Good to know

  • On the day of the treatment, pay attention to your fluid and vitamin intake.
  • The treated area should be bare, or covered by a thin cotton garment.
  • We remove metal jewellery and piercings from the treated area.
  • The treatment does not replace regular exercise and a balanced diet — it complements them.

Safety

When is it not recommended?

  • During pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • With an implanted electronic device (pacemaker), a metal implant or an IUD (coil).
  • In case of cancer.
  • In case of cardiovascular disease or a circulatory disorder.
  • In case of thrombosis or a tendency to thrombosis, or while taking blood thinners (anticoagulants).
  • In case of epilepsy, muscle disease, autoimmune disease, or liver or kidney disease.
  • In case of a hernia, or if you have had surgery within the past six months.
  • With a fever, or in case of a skin condition on the treated area.
  • During menstruation, for the abdominal area.
